Usually once someone develops cirrhosis there is no chance of reversal, but through treatment the furthering of the disease can be stopped or delayed. Many who suffer from cirrhosis are recommended to severely limit the amount of salt in their diet. Many may eventually need a liver transplant.

Cirrhosis happens when there is a lot of scar tissue buildup in one's liver and it can be awful to go through. Someone with cirrhosis may eventually suffer from liver cancer and/or gallstones.
